Firefighters rescue goose stranded on frozen pond in Virginia

DULLES, Va., Jan. 10 (UPI) — Firefighters in Virginia carried out “a singular ice rescue” once they have been referred to as to help with a distressed goose stranded on the ice of a frozen pond.

The Loudoun County Skilled Firefighters – IAFF Native 3756 stated in a Fb publish that crews responded Sunday night time to a frozen pond close to Dulles Worldwide Airport on a report of a distressed goose.

The goose, which firefighters stated might have been sick or injured, appeared unable to get itself off of the ice.
