{"id":2717,"date":"2021-03-30T20:37:21","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T20:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/naijabiography.com\/?p=2717"},"modified":"2022-04-25T09:45:55","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T09:45:55","slug":"alexx-ekubo-biography-early-life-career-awards-is-he-married","status":"publish","type":"biography","link":"https:\/\/naijabiography.com\/biography\/alexx-ekubo-biography-early-life-career-awards-is-he-married\/","title":{"rendered":"Alexx Ekubo Biography"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Early Life\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alexx Ekubo was born in the late 80&#8217;s to the beautiful family of Maaz\u1ecb Alex Ekubo Okwaraeke and Jane Ekubo-Okwaraeke in the Southern part of Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Precisely, Alexx was born on 10th April, 1986 in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria.\u00a0<a title=\"Rivers State\" href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rivers_State\" rel=\"\">Rivers State<\/a>\u00a0is a state in the South Southern part of Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Growing up, Alexx lived and spent much time with his parents in Lagos, Katsina and Kano. He had his elementary and secondary education in these cities. For his secondary education, Alexx attended the Federal Government College Daura, Katsina State.<\/p>\n<p>Later, he got admitted into the prestigious University of Calabar (UniCal), therein he studied and bagged a degree in Law. Thereafter, Alexx studied in Calabar Polytechnic and obtained a Diploma in Mass Communication. More so, he bagged a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Calabar.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Career<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alexx Ekubo joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 2005. Due to his acting performance Alexx has been able to make a name for himself.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Alexx rose to prominence shortly after joining the movie industry.<\/p>\n<p>As a model, Alex has starred in many music videos. Like, Yemi Alade&#8217;s Johnny the Lover Boy and others.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<strong>Movies<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alexx Ekubo has featured in over 100 movies since he rose to prominence.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<strong>Awards<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Due to his expertise in explaining movie roles Alexx Ekubo has won many hearts and awards all to and by himself. These among others are some of his awards;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b0 Late Ambassador Segun Olusola NBMA for Actor of the Year (2016)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b0 First runner up at the 2010 Mr Nigeria contest<\/p>\n<p>\u00b0 Nigerian Teen Choice Award for Celebrity Award &#8211; Outstanding TV Personality (2015)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b0 Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the Nigerian romantic drama film, Weekend Getaway<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Is Alex Ekubo Married?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>No, please. Alexx Ekubo is yet to find his missing rib, although rumor mongers alleged he got married secretly to his American girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p>This rumor, in fact, originated following the pictures he posted on his Insta Story when he visited his girlfriend, Fancy Acholonu &#8211; an American model &#8211; to celebrate her birthday in 2017.
