Ireti Doyle was born on May 3, 1967, in Ondo State, but she spent her early years in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States of America with her family. She attended Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, after moving back to Nigeria. She earned a diploma in mass communication and later earned a theatre arts degree from the University of Jos.

Ireti is a multifaceted performer with experience in writing, acting, TV hosting, and public speaking. She essentially began acting in 1995 during a school strike. She took advantage of the chance and went to an audition for a part in the TV show, Riddles and Hopes. Her inspiration had previously started in secondary school while she was watching the TV show Mind Bending, which was created by Lola Fani Kayode and had Joke Silva as the main feature.

She entered the television hosting business as she developed her career in the film industry. She was a host of programmes such as Morning Ride on STV, Nimasa, and This Week on Channels TV. She also started writing pieces for publications such as This Day Newspaper, City People, Saturday Vanguard, and others as a social commentator.

She started her fashion and lifestyle programme, Oge with Iretiola, in 2000, and it aired continuously for ten years. She then started writing scripts. She also authored other intriguing stories, including the Tempest of Amaka Igwe.

Ireti enjoys a high level of respect in the field because of how well she performs her tasks. She became known as the “actor’s actress” as a result. Toyin Abraham, Ayo Makun, Odunlade Adekola, Helen Paul, RMD, Adesua Etomi, Banky W, Sola Sobowale, Joseph Benjamin, and others are just a few of the cinema stars she has collaborated with. She has also acted in several critically acclaimed films from Nigeria, including Fifty, Torn, The Wedding Party, Merry Men, etc.

For her role as Dr Elizabeth in the Ebony Life movie Fifty, she received a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2016 African Movie Academy Awards. She additionally made appearances in the movies The Arbitration and The Wedding Party, as well as Dinner and Madam President. She has designed characters for television programmes like Gidi Up, Dowry, and Fuji House of Commotion.

The Oge With Iretiola show was launched by Ireti in 2000. It evolved into a fashion and lifestyle programme that highlights and celebrates the best in African style and fashion. She conducts interviews with business people, performers, and cultural figures who serve as role models for the young and emerging.

After ten years, the programme came to an end. But it was recently restored, and on September 1, 2019, it made its debut. Every Sunday, it can be seen on AfricaMagic Showcase Channel 151. This time, she speaks with young celebrities like Simisola Ogunleye (Simi) and Adesua Etomi. Basically, she talks about ways to combat vices like peer pressure, low self-esteem, and other social problems that affect young people on the show.

She also manages a media consultancy and production company named Sisi Ologe Entertainment, in addition to the show. Oge with Iretiola is affiliated with Sisi Ologe Ent. It was created in order to construct a project from the ground up while guaranteeing its accurate projection and reporting for the purpose of maximising brand exposure and benefit.

As an entrepreneur, Doyle started an aboriginal organic snail farm in 2017. She currently controls the entire production process, from farming to selling, with ambitions to top the snail market in Nigeria and internationally.

She is married to renowned broadcaster Patrick Doyle, and together they have a happy family filled with six children and grandchildren. She is the famous actor’s second wife; he lost his first spouse to sickle cell anaemia.

The couple has not undergone a legal divorce process. The pair is regarded as still being legally married as a result. Ireti, however, left her marriage in 2017 due to an unspecified allegation. It was reported that she has repeatedly ignored and kept a stoic silence about her reconciliation with her husband, despite his attempts to apologise, including publicly professing his love for her. She celebrated with Michelle Dede, a colleague who also had the same birthdate as her husband, but ignored giving him a birthday wish.

When she was quizzed about her relationship with her husband, she said, “We are both busy people, and you find that, on any one given weekend, we’ve both been invited to three or four different events where all three or four people are expecting to see us, so we play it smart, we share it; if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen the other.”

Only Ngozikachi Abimbola Ozofor, the daughter of Ireti Doyle, is in the spotlight. She was born while the actress was barely 17 years old. Abimbola is the owner of Kachi hair products and a consultant for the apparel retailer Ruff ‘n’ Tumble.

In 2014, Abimbola married the love of her life, Kelechi. On July 12th, they had a court wedding at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos, Nigeria, and then a traditional wedding. Some well-known actors and an actress close to her mother were present.

Ireti Doyle has acted in several high-grossing and blockbuster movies. She is reported to have an estimated net worth of $2 million.

Instagram: iretidoyleActing Career
