Early Life and Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Oladips was born on March 24, 1995, in Ogun State, southwestern part of Nigeria. He grew up in a musical family, as his father was a gospel singer. He developed a passion for music at a young age and started writing his own songs. Oladips completed his primary and secondary education in Ogun State, before relocating to Lagos State to pursue his music career. He began by recording and releasing freestyles online, which attracted the attention of music fans and critics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edge Records<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Oladips made his debut in 2012 with a cover of Drake <\/a>and Trey Songz\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cSuccessful<\/strong>\u201d. He gained recognition in 2015 after winning D\u2019banj<\/a>\u2019s \u201cKing is Here<\/strong>\u201d competition, which featured over 8,000 contestants. He impressed the judges with his rap skills and lyrical prowess. Oladips was awarded a record deal with Edge Records<\/strong>, a label owned by Reminisce<\/a>, a popular Nigerian rapper. He released his first official single under the label, titled \u201cBounce<\/strong>\u201d, featuring Reminisce<\/a>, in 2016. He also released his debut album, Dreams and Realities<\/strong>, in the same year. The album featured collaborations with Phyno<\/a>, Lil Kesh<\/a>, and Reminisce<\/a>, and received positive reviews from critics and fans. He also collaborated with other artists, such as Zlatan<\/a>, Mayorkun<\/a>, DJ Instinct<\/strong>, and DJ Kaywise<\/strong>. However, in 2019, he announced his departure from Edge Records<\/strong>, citing irreconcilable differences with the label. He claimed that he was not happy with the terms of his contract and that he was not given enough creative freedom. He also revealed that he had only N23,000 in his account after spending five years with the label. Oladips released a song titled \u201cMaybe<\/strong>\u201d to express his frustration and disappointment with the label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omo Iya Aje Records<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After leaving Edge Records, Oladips became an independent artist and launched his own imprint, Omo Iya Aje Records<\/strong>. He also signed a distribution deal with Zanku Records<\/strong>, owned by Zlatan<\/a>. He released his first EP under his own label, titled Mainland to Island<\/strong>, in 2021. The EP featured four tracks, all produced by P Prime<\/strong>. He also released another EP, titled Alubarika<\/strong>, in the same year. The EP featured six tracks, with guest appearances from Zlatan<\/a>, BoyWonda<\/strong>, and Moyo Payne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oladips is not married and has not revealed any information about his girlfriend or relationship status. He is a Muslim and often incorporates Islamic references in his songs. He is also a philanthropist and has donated to various causes, such as education, health, and empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
