Born into a family of three – two sisters and a brother – Alex is a native of Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. In fact, she did grow up in Nsukka with her siblings.
For her education, Alex had her basic education – elementary and secondary education – at Aunty Lizzy International School, Enugu, and Federal Government College, Enugu respectively. Expectedly, she bagged both her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate later after.

Alex Unusual rose to fame soon after the 2018 edition of the Big Brother Naija Double Wahala show ended. Then, she was the third runner-up.
