Peter Onwuzuruike Onyehidelam was born Peter Onwuzuruike Onyehidelam. Obviously, his popular name is just a stage name.

He was born and raised in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. This is evident enough because Dede One Day had completed both his primary and secondary education in Aba. Too, he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate in Aba.

Surprisingly, Dede One Day is not an Aba indigene. Yes, please. He hail from Umuagwuru Mbieri, a small village in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State. Both Abia state and Imo state fall under the Southeastern part of Nigeria.

Career

Dede One Day is a renowned Nollywood comic actor, and comedian. The Nollywood star hit the spotlight upon the subsequent release of his “Laugh With Me” comedy series. This series gave him his first role and recognition in Nollywood.

Due to his expertise in delivering each, and every movie role assigned to him over the years. The Comedian-actor has won different hearts and awards all to himself.

He won many awards while he lived, and these are some among others: Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Best Comic Act to watch at The African Movie Academy Awards, Best Comedian in Nigeria at City People Entertainment Awards, and Best Actor in Comedy at The Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Remember I told you I had a little argument with my dear friend as to whether or not the star is still alive or late. Unfortunately, it’s not good news. Dede One Day passed out on 14th December 2015. It’s almost already six years since he journey to the land beyond.

It was gathered that the Nollywood star collapsed on stage. He was performing to the listening and watching pleasure of his spectators when this sad incident happened.

Dede One Day was rushed to the hospital, but couldn’t make it. The doctors confirmed him dead. Dede One Day suffered from cardiac arrest. May his legendary soul rest in peace.
