Early Life & Education
Femi Jacobs was born 8th of May, in the mid 1980s, in Lagos State, which falls in the southwestern region of Nigeria. He grew up in Osun State. He had his secondary school education in Fakunle Comprehensive high school, Osogbo in Osun State. Femi Jacobs went further to Lagos State University where he studied mass communication.
Career
Due to the kind of poor background Femi Jacobs has, he left home to face his struggle at the tentative age of 11 years old. He started with a job in Lagos State as an office assistant in a church. While working at the church, he discovered his musical talent. Femi Jacob thereafter started to learn how to play piano and was later hired as a music director.
Later, he put out three albums. He was asked to play roles in a church group’s religious productions when he was attending church. Producers eventually took note of his acting prowess. As a result, he started working in the film industry and was cast as Makinde Esho in the movie The Meeting. Famous actors like Jide Kosoko and Rita Dominic appeared in this film. Jacobs was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards for playing Makinde.
