Mercy Macjoe Early Life
Mercy Macjoe was born in the early ’90s to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Macjoe in Lagos State. Precisely, she was born on 20th June 1993.
Born as the sixth child of her parents, growing up wasn’t a bed of roses for Mercy. Her father was a soldier at the time but died while she was very young. As it was, her mother raised her alongside her other siblings.
Although Mercy grew up in Lagos, she is originally from Akwa Ibom State. Akwa Ibom is a state in the Southern part of Nigeria.
Mercy Macjoe had her Nursery, Elementary, and Secondary education in Lagos State. In fact, she had her University education in Lagos, too. She studied and bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from the National Open University (NOUN).
Recently, she enrolled at the New York Film Academy, where she had planned to sharpen her skills in acting, and as a filmmaker.
Career
In 2011, Mercy Macjoe journeyed into becoming a Nigerian Nollywood actress. Shortly, she landed a movie role “Lonely Princess,” #themovie.
Following the release of “Sugar Pot,” – a movie which took part in – brought her to the limelight.
Of fact, Mercy’s journey of becoming a renowned Nigerian Nollywood actress wouldn’t be told without mentioning the role her mother played in her life. From nurturing her to giving her education to supporting her when she declared her interest to become an actress.
