The renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Obi Cubana was born on the 12th of April 1975 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Iyiegbu in Oba, Anambra State.
Born in the late ’70s in Oba as the fourth child of his parents’ grown-up children, Obi is a native of Oba, a community in Idemili-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
For his basic education, Obi had his basic – elementary and secondary education – at Central Primary School and Dennis Memorial Grammar School respectively. Therein, he obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
Later, he gained admission into the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Enugu State, Nigeria. At UNN he studied and bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
Career
Cubana owns the highest shares for the African Most Palatial Ecstatic Hospitality Brand,’Cubana Group.’
He started off his career in Abuja when launched his first club (Ibiza Club) in 2006. In 2009, he launched ‘Cubana Group.’ This is after he had experienced both failure and success in his first venture, Ibiza Club.
Now, celebrities from all over the world visit this club, including: Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid and others. Even, Cardi B visited the club when she visited Nigeria for a show, Cardi B is a renowned American singer.

KIEK Foundation is a foundation founded by Obi Cubana’s wife, Ebele Iyiegbu to help and improve the lives of the less-privileged children academically, socially, and otherwise.
Obi Cubana Mother’s Burial
Cubana’s mother, Mrs. Ezinne Iyiegbu died in December 2020. On the 18th of July 2021, Ezenne Iyiegbu was laid to rest but there was more. Her burial turned out to be one of the most popular burials in Nigeria because of how it turned out. Men of different dignitary graced the event.
In fact, it was almost like a carnival because there was a lot to eat and drink. On top of that, many friends and family brought many things including over 250 cows and money, in different currencies.
Cubana immortalized his mother by buying a pendant and necklace worth up to $100,000 thousand.
Notably, Obi Cubana got a foreign casket worth up to 30 million from a friend, a trailer load of Hero Beer from a friend, 46 cows from his former employee, Cubana Chief Priest, 30 bags of foreign rice from a friend, over ₦250 million from friends and many other gifts and cash donations, to mention only but a few.
