The Nigerian pastor, businessman, politician, and the founder & CEO of Royalty Group, Umo Eno was born on May 10th, 1964 in his hometown in Akwa Ibom State, a state in the Southern part of Nigeria.

Although information regarding his basic educational history is unknown, it is known that he has both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate certifications in the bag.

Pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the prestigious University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno studied and bagged a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the same university.

Early Career

A member of the People’s Democratic Party, otherwise known as PDP, Bassy Umo Eno is a politician. Although infamous, Eno rose to prominence a few days ago and has been a trendy name after the declaration of the incumbent Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel as his choice of 2023 gubernatorial aspirant.

Mainly, the current Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel endorsed him as his successor. Otherwise, he started his career following his appointment as a banker in Union Bank of Nigeria in 1982.

Besides working with Union Bank of Nigeria, Pastor Umo Eno has worked with Bertola Machine Tools, a company he worked with between 1985 and 1990.

Worked with Norman Holdings Limited as the company’s General Manager between 1990 and 1997, Pastor Umo founded Royalty Group company in 1997.

Currently the Honorable Commissioner for lands and water resources in Akwa Ibom State, Bassy Umo Eno is the General Overseer of All Actions Christian Ministry Int’l.

Having worked in these industries and still making a name for himself, it is okay to presume that he will do well should he become the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State—let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, you might want to say.
