Precious Elohor Ogaga-Edafe (born 27 April) is a Nigerian writer and social critic. She is the editor-in-chief of Elowell Max, a digital publication and African women’s magazine.
Early life and education
Precious Elohor Ogaga-Edafe was born on 27 April 2002 in Benin City, Edo State. She is an indigene of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State and the second of four siblings. Both of her parents are from Delta State.
Her father owned a computer institute. and cyber café from the early 90s, where she also earned a Diploma in information and communication technology (ICT).
In 2006, her family relocated to Asaba, Delta State, where she completed her primary and secondary education.
Ogaga-Edafe was raised in a Pentecostal Christian household; her father was an evangelist with the Assemblies of God Church and a graduate of Evangel Bible Seminary. During her secondary education, she demonstrated early leadership and literary interests.
After her SSCE, she spent several years attempting to pursue tertiary studies abroad while assisting in her family’s computer business as an ICT trainer and typist. After many trials, she eventually settled for the University of Benin, Edo State. In 2022, she received the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Best Student of the Year award. In 2025, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Diplomacy.
Career
Ogaga-Edafe began writing in childhood and was an active participant in debate and English competitions during her school years. Her childhood short fiction stories were often set in African contexts.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she founded Elowell Max as a personal blog, initially focused on health and wellness. The platform later evolved into a digital magazine featuring interviews and cultural commentary, with a broader emphasis on African women’s experiences and perspectives.
After a hiatus in 2022, she relaunched Elowell Max, expanding its editorial scope and positioning it as an African women-focused digital publication.
Personal life
Ogaga-Edafe married Ogaga Edafe Peter in October 2023 in a private ceremony held in Delta State. The couple welcomed their son in January 2025.

In 2023, she was recognized in the Forbes Black Excellence Community.
She has been featured on BellaNaija, The Guardian, The Lioneeses of Africa, Journal of African Youth Literature amongst others.
