The renowned Nigerian movie actress, and dancer, Rachael was born in the late ’80s to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Okonkwo.
Born on May 26th, 1987, Rachael is a native of Ukpata in Ụzọ Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State; a State in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria.
She had her elementary and secondary school education in Enugu, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate.
Career
Okonkwo joined the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood in 2007. Although she wanted to join before then she didn’t get movie roles so she ventured into dancing.
In 2014, Rachael rose to fame. ‘Nkoli Nwa Nsukka,’ an Igbo indigenous movie produced and directed by Mac Collins Chidebe brought her to the limelight. A movie that later became an indigenous blockbuster movie.
Rachael is also a philanthropist, she created a platform that can reach out to the poor and deprived in society.
