Early Life & Education

Sylvia Oluchy was born on the 7th of July, in Lagos. She grew up in Abuja, which is the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. She had her primary and secondary school education in Abuja. Oluchy went further to Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State, where she studied Theater Arts.

Career

In 2011, Oluchy joined Nollywood on a professional level. She portrayed Idara in her debut acting role in the film Bent Arrows. Her performance in the film won her the award for Rising Star at the Nollywood Movie Awards. Oluchi portrayed Shaniqua in the well-known Atlanta TV series. She gained notoriety and fame in Nollywood because of her outstanding performance in the film, which led to her major roles in other Nollywood movies.
