Early Life And Education
Abdul Waris was born in Kumasi on June 13, 1992. He is a native of Abuabu in the Ashanti Region, Ghana. He completed his primary education at Kingsway School, and he attended Odorgonno Senior High School for secondary education before proceeding to Top Media School for tertiary education, where he later graduated in 2014.
Career
Comedian Waris began his comedy career at the age of 18 during his time in senior high school. He worked at Top FM and Rainbow Radio as an intern in the sound engineering department in 2014, he later moved to Channel5 TV in the same year. He also worked at Ecstasy Entertainment, where he served as a stand-up comedian and personal assistant to award-winning comedian DKB.
Comedian Waris started his comedy journey as a professional comedian in 2016. He has been awarded as one of the best content writers and creative directors in Ghana. He makes his professional debut in the Comedy Club, Comedy Express: a show that was organized by DKB.
Waris also established his own foundation, the Waris Foundation, where they donate to people living on the streets in Ghana occasionally. Comedian Waris has performed on several outstanding platforms, such as the Easter Comedy Show and Glo Lafsa Fest.
Personal Life
Comedian Waris wasn’t born with a silver spoon; he grew up in a not-very-wealthy neighborhood. He was the first son of two boys. And he lost his father at the age of 9 and his mother assume both the father’s and the mother’s responsibilities which was a heavy flow to the family.
