Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey (Born 28 March 1991) popularly known as kaakie, is a Ghanaian singer and Dancehall Queen. She gained her first recognition after being part of a singing competition that run on Ghanaian TV for weeks where she was evicted and became 5th in the competition. Kaki signs her first record with Xtra Large Music.

Early Life and Education
Kaakie was born in Accra, Ghana. She grew up to be a music lover, and she listened to the songs of many artists she cherished. She attended St. Martin De Porres Basic School in Dansoman, She went to Achimota School, where she was a member of the Scripture Union. Kaakie holds a BSc in Midwifery degree from the University of Ghana. She earned her Master’s Degree from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, in 2019.
During her years at the University, Kaakie had an opportunity when she was featured in one of the reality shows on TV called “Stars of the Future”
She was part of the singing competition that runs on Ghanaian TV for the week; however, she got evicted along the line (she was rated 5th). From there, she met with a renowned Ghanaian sound engineer and executive producer, JMJ baby “Joshua Raphaelson,” courtesy of Charter House, and she got signed to his record label, – XTRA LARGE MUSIC.
Kaakie is married to her dream man, whose name is Kwasi Anansi Aidoo. He attended Achimota Basic School. Kaakie and her husband did their traditional marriage on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at a disclosed location.
Kaakie welcomes her baby girl, whose name is Mimzie, meaning “Gift of God.”
