Career

Daddy Showkey started his musical career in the late 1990s. He started by singing ghetto-style music in his local environment. He is the pioneer of Nigerian dancehall music. Rather than speaking Jamaican patois, he sings in pidgin English. The “Galala” dance move was invented by the AJ singer and quickly rose to prominence in the 1990s.
