Early Life & Education

MaXimo was born on the 20th of May, 1991, in Oyo State, into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim. He grew up in Lagos State, which falls in the southwestern region of Nigeria. Although, he hails from Osun State, which falls within the same region. He had his primary and secondary school education in Lagos State, after which he went further to study in a higher institution.

Career

MaXimo visited the studio frequently while an undergraduate. He made a lot of single recordings during this time. Some of these songs have been played at school functions and musical performances in Lagos. MaXimo released his first single, Binary, on May 20, 2020, to mark his 29th birthday.

Within weeks after its release, the song Binary became a street hymn and an instant hit. It spent weeks at the top of numerous regional music charts and was frequently broadcast on regional radio and television. He was invited to appear as a guest on the Able Online Television program Ona Ola. As a result of the song’s popularity, MaXimo released another single, Know, in August 2020 after realizing that his music was already being embraced both nationally and globally.

Maximo is the CEO of a South West Nigerian SME in addition to being a musician and an entrepreneur. He held a creativity competition for his followers in July 2020, and the winners received cash awards totaling #65,000.
