Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu popularly known as Mr. Funny or Oga Sabinus, is a Nigerian comedian, actor, content creator, and social media influencer born on the 30th of January, 1995. At the AMVCA 8th Edition, Oga Sabinus is the Award winner of the Best Online Social Content Creators’.

Early Life & Education

Mr. Funny was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria into the family of Mr.& Mrs. Ejekwu. He had his early education in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and went on to acquire his Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Communication Studies from the University of Port Harcourt.

Career

Mr. Funny’s career began in 2015, but he rose to prominence in 2019. In the inaugural edition of The Humour Awards Academy in 2021, he was nominated alongside fellow comedian Basketmouth. Mr. Funny found his comedic skill at a young age and put it to good use right away. While in the university, he began to perform comedy skits regularly. This occurred in 2015 during a School Student Union week. Oga Sabinus decided to take his comedy to the next level by posting numerous comedy skits on his social media accounts, particularly Instagram. He attracted the attention of famous Instagram influencers, who began to share his skits. Mr. Funny quickly gained a large number of followers who liked and commented on his posts.

His fame has gained numerous attention and has attracted brands. He is the brand ambassador for a popular betting site: Oddstackr. Some of his role models who have influenced him in his comedy career are Mr Ibu and Charles Inojie.

Mr. Funny has also featured in incredible Nollywood movies like ‘Billionaire’s Bride’, and ‘Man of War’, amongst others.
