Early Life & Education
Young Jonn was born on the 16th of February, 1995, in Oyo State. He hails from Lagos State, which falls in the Southwestern region of Nigeria. He attended Ideal Foundation Primary School for his primary school education. Young Jonn had his secondary school education at GOF College, Osogbo, Osun State. After his secondary school education, he went further to the University of Ibadan, where he is presently studying Communication and Language Arts.
Career
As a young child, John began learning to play an instrument. Before signing with Hit Factory Studio in 2012, he and his siblings created the band AVG. He worked as a producer at Hit Factory and was responsible for Olamide‘s number-one song, “Story For The Gods.” He received a Producer of The Year nomination at 2015 Headies for his work on Olamide‘s critically acclaimed song “Bobo.”
Songs like “Gbese” and “Efejoku” by Lil Kesh, “Biggest Backside” by Davido, and albums like “The Baddest” by Davido, “2 Kings” by Olamide, and Phyno, and “Eyan Mayweather” by Olamide have all been produced to Young John. With the release of “Dada” from his first extended play, Love Is Not Enough, which was released on the 1st of April, 2022, Young John announced his deal with Chocolate City on 18 March 2022.
