Early Life and Education
Eather Kolawole was born on January 4, 2002, in Lagos State, Nigeria. She also had her primary and secondary school education in Lagos State, but the names of the schools are not known to the public.
Career
Kolawale’s career started when she won a gold medal at the 2018 African Youth Games. As a result of her victory in the 55 kg freestyle gold medal match at the Nigerian National Sports Festival in December 2018, she was crowned the country’s wrestling champion. She also earned the gold medal in the 61 kg cadet division at the 2018 African Wrestling Championships in February 2018.
At the 2020 African Wrestling Championships held in Algiers, Algeria, she took home the gold medal in her division. She was unsuccessful in achieving the Olympic qualification for the 2020 Summer Games in Sofia, Bulgaria, in May 2021. She competed in the women’s 55 kg division in October 2021 at the World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway, where she lost her second bout.
She finished third and took home a bronze medal in the women’s 57 kg freestyle event at the 2021 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, in November 2021. She lost her bronze medal match in the women’s 57 kg competition in the Istanbul, Turkey-based Yasar Dogu Tournament in 2022.
