Early Life and Education
Moe Musa was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to the UK when he was 3 years old. He attended Carshalton Boys High School, Carshalton College, and then the University of West London. In 2009, he received a BSc in Media Technology from the latter institution.
Career
Moe Musa started out as a freelance filmmaker and made his directorial debut in 2009. He later established his own video production and media firm, Mr Moe Musa Productions, where he produced, directed, and edited his ground-breaking music video, Antenna, for Fuse ODG with Wyclef Jean in 2012. After the video’s debut, Musa helmed a follow-up, dubbed “Down on One,” for Sarkodie and Fuse ODG. 2013’s “Azonto” music video by Wizkid was produced by Musa, who was nominated for Best Music Video Director at The Headies.
Some of the songs included in Musa’s music videos which he has produced are Wizkid’s “On Top of Your Matter,” “Azonto,” Davido’s “Skelewu,” Tiwa Savage’s “Wanted,” and 2Face Idibia ft. Fally Ipupa. Songs like “Diaspora Woman,” “Bobo,” “Wavy Level,” “Turn Up,” “Melo Melo,” “Letter To Milli,” “Bum Bum” by Diamond Platnumz, “SSound” ft. Teni,” and “Waka Ft. Rick Ross” are some benchmarks of songs where he was involved in the production of the videos.
